Hello! 👋
We’re really glad you’re here. The aim of the Noticeboard is simple – help residents feel informed, supported and connected. It’s part of the Precinct Community Group’s focus on bringing people together, and helping the community find practical solutions that make living here easier and more enjoyable for everyone. This newsletter is for infrequent but worthwhile updates that you can skim in a few minutes. Think of it as a friendly touchpoint: the important bits, the useful bits, and the occasional “good to know” that saves time, reduces confusion, or helps you feel more at home at The Precinct.

PHOTO OF THE MONTH 🌄
For the budding photographers

Anonymous
There are some beautiful views from in and around this building, from sunsets to storm rolling over the river.
If you’ve got a photo you’d like to share, please don’t hesitate to share it with us by clicking the button below! We’ll sort through photos we receive and pick one to share in an upcoming edition of the Precinct Noticeboard. If you’re a little on the shy side, you can submit it anonymously.
DID YOU KNOW? ❓
Picnic baskets to share

It’s not a well known fact – but we have beautiful picnic baskets for all to use available in the cupboards in the BBQ area! They’re well equipped with bread and butter plates, a bread board, knives, forks, teaspoons, wine glasses, a table cloth and serviettes, salt and pepper shakers, and a bottle opener. Please make sure if you borrow them to return them clean, and without rubbish.
Giving the Council of Owners the right tools to keep proper records

Our Council of Owners plays an important part in life at The Precinct. Its members are elected by owners and work with the Strata Manager on matters affecting the building.
The tools available to them matter. At the moment, there is no shared email system for the COO, so owners and residents don’t have a convenient and central place to contact their representatives, and correspondence with important discussions and decisions end up spread across several accounts over time.
We have seen a few committee members change in recent years. When someone leaves, the history held in their inbox can leave with them. There is also no single email address that owners and residents know they can use to contact the COO.
This matters because council decisions, resolutions and meeting records need to be kept as part of the strata company’s records, which owners can apply to inspect. If the discussions and decisions behind those records remain in personal inboxes, there is a risk that the history kept for the building is incomplete.
A recent LookUpStrata Q&A with Leya Wall looks at how a shared email system could help, and that it’s something our current strata manager can put into place. In practice, it means having one place where authorised committee members can see the correspondence, the history stays with the building when members change and owners have a reliable way to get in touch.
WhatsApp is handy for a quick conversation, but it can create the same problem if the discussion is not kept as part of the strata record. It is the same reason we are asked to lodge requests and issues through the portal. Everything stays in one place and can be found again when needed.
Providing the COO with a shared, managed email system would make everyday communication easier and help ensure that correspondence and decisions are stored where they belong. The Strata Manager can help confirm the best way to set this up and the recordkeeping requirements that apply here in WA.
You can watch the Q&A at by clicking here. You can also read the Q&A that was published online on 26 June and appeared in the July QLD Strata Magazine, and has now also been included in the August 2026 WA Strata Magazine.

WHAT’S NEW ⭐️
Luna dispensary, just up Ogilvie Road

Jupiter Health Plus & Jupiter Cosmetics has opened in Stage 1

Jupiter Health Plus is now open at Shop 3, 19 Ogilvie Road, on the ground floor of Stage 1 between the lobby and Olive and Oil.
The clinic combines general practice with weight management, menopause and perimenopause care, women’s and men’s health, mental health, preventative and longevity care, and skin cancer checks. Its doctors have interests spanning family medicine, chronic disease, paediatrics, mental health, skin cancer medicine and medical weight management.
Jupiter Health Plus is a fully private billing clinic, eligible consultations may receive a Medicare rebate, although some longevity, weight management, aesthetic and other non-MBS services may not.
Jupiter Cosmetics will form part of the same health hub, offering doctor- and nurse-led consultations with personalised treatment plans for skin and aesthetic concerns. Its wider services cover pigmentation, acne and scarring, redness, hair loss, signs of ageing, skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal and non-surgical body treatments.
Online medical bookings are now possible through HotDoc for Jupiter Health Plus. The separate Jupiter Cosmetics booking page does not yet list the new Mount Pleasant location at the time of writing, so it is worth contacting reception to confirm how cosmetic appointments should be booked. Jupiter Cosmetics also sells customisable gift vouchers that can be used on its treatments and retail products.

Something new is cooking on Ogilvie Road, and it’s the location of our next Meet & Eat! The launch is expected in early September once its final council requirements are complete. From day one, locals can expect $8 pints and wines, $10 cocktail slushies, daily food specials and weekend bottomless brunches. Ordering will be at the counter, with diners able to pay individually or open a group tab. The exact opening date and Mount Pleasant booking page are still being finalised. We’ll share both as soon as Street Eats confirms them. See more on the Street Eats Eatery website.

SAFETY ⛑️
Please be aware of lift #3
Last night lift #3 dropped a floor in freefall, which we can only imagine would have been incredibly scary. This is an ongoing issue with the lift, and we hope measures are taken to improve the safety and reliability for all residents, young and old.
COMMUNITY GUIDE 🧭
Booking our common spaces
Planning to use the barbecue area, theatre, lounge, or Sky Lounge? Please book the space through the resident portal first. This helps avoid clashes and lets everyone know when an area is available.
If you are using the portal on your phone, the booking options may be hidden in its mobile view. Select Switch to Desktop View from the left-hand menu, then choose Bookings and the area you would like to reserve.
Please remember that all residents and guests must leave the common area by 10pm. A booking reserves the space, but it does not extend its closing time.
A quick reminder for pet owners
The Precinct is a pet-friendly building, but our car parks and other common areas should not be used as pet toilets.
Please give your dog an opportunity to relieve itself outside the building, particularly before entering the car park or heading inside after a trip. Dogs should not be allowed to urinate against walls, columns, parked cars or other parts of the building.
If an accident does happen, please clean it up thoroughly and straight away. Solid waste should be securely bagged and placed in your apartment rubbish or the main bins in the ground-floor waste area.
A little care keeps the shared areas clean and pleasant for residents, visitors and their four-legged neighbours.
